ENLACE 2022: Using evidence in policy development in Latin America and the Caribbean
This virtual event, taking place on November 17 and 18 in Spanish, Portuguese and English, will bring civil society representatives from across the region together. Participants will present their experiences in the areas of health, public safety, employment and public service, education, and human rights and the environment.
The Latin American and Caribbean Evidence Hub was created earlier this year through the Partnership for Evidence and Equity in Responsive Social Systems (PEERSS), a partnership between IDRC and the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. A collaboration between the Instituto Veredas (Brazil), the Universidad de Antioquia (Colombia) and the Chilean Ministry of Health, the hub was created to promote a connection between countries in the region. It features a Committee of Experts from various organizations that promote the use of evidence in policies and social interventions in Latin America and the Caribbean.
As the hub’s first meeting, enLACe 2022 will strengthen exchanges between the countries in the region and aims to advance a common agenda for more informed and effective public policies.
