Accountability Principles of Research Organisations provides a framework for establishing accountability good practices and principles for policy-oriented research organizations working in developing countries. The core principles of participation, transparency, evaluation, and feedback management are applied to research. This approach, developed by One World Trust (UK), argues for the need for accountability to a variety of stakeholders – a need justified both ethically and instrumentally. They also acknowledge the tensions and challenges that different organizations will face in formulating accountability principles.
